Bank of India Recruitment of Clerks

Bank of India  invites application for recruitment to the post of Clerks from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011.

Eligibility Criteria for recruitment in Bank of India
Educational Qualification (as on 1 August 2011): Pass with 50% marks in the aggregate, either in the Higher Secondary School (HSC) Examination or Standard XII under the 10+2+3 pattern or Standard XI under the 11+4 pattern or its equivalent of recognized Educational Board, acceptable to the Bank. OR a Graduate degree from UGC recognized University degree in any discipline from a recognized University in India
Essential Requirement
  • IBPS Score obtained in CWE for Clerks 2011
  • Knowledge of Regional Language of a particular State/ Union Territory for which candidate apply, is essential
Desirable Qualification: Candidates having completed Foundation Course on Computer Awareness & Office Automation for duration of minimum 3 months from a Computer Institute is desirable. The desirability of having completed the said Course will be waived in case of those candidates having Computer subject as part of the curriculum at the Pre- Degree/ Degree level.
Age Limit (as on 1 August 2011): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 28 years
Pay Scale: Rs 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/ 1-19300 + DA, HRA, CCA, Conveyance Allowance, Gratuity, Pension, LFC, Medical Aid etc.
Selection Procedure for recruitment in Bank of India: Selection for the post of Clerk will be based on the Total Weighted Standard Score in the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS in 2011 and marks scored in the Interview (100 marks).
Depending on the number of vacancies, only those candidates who are qualified in the Common Written Examination for recruitment of Clerical personnel conducted by IBPS in 2011 and possess a valid score card issued by IBPS and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the Total Weighted Standard Score shall be called for a personal interview in the ratio of 1:3.
The minimum qualifying marks for the interview would be 50% for General Category and 45% for Reserved Category.

Application Fee: No fee will be charged from candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen category and fee for other category students is Rs 200.


Application fee has to be paid in any of Bank of India Branches by computergenerated challan.  Fees in any other mode will not be accepted. Once the payment of fees is made, the concerned branch will give the candidate a Transaction No.
Carefully fill in the necessary in the Online Application Form at the appropriate places and submit the same Online. Take a printout of the system generated online application form to be submitted at the time of interview, copies of which may also be retained for your reference. The Registration Number and Password generated should also be retained for future reference.
